Sangalt Fm
Type Locality and Naming
Named after the Sangal't River, Gissar Ridge. V. D. Saltovskaya, 1969 (403, p. 44). Stratotype in the valley of the Zidda River.
Synonym: Sangal't Suite, Сангальтская св.
Lithology and Thickness
Oolitic and organogenic limestones. Thickness 100-150m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Conformably overlies the Yakarchin Fm
Upper contact
Conformably overlain by the Snezhnin Fm (460)
Regional extent
In the form of separate strips in the Chakykalyan-North Gissar region on the northern slope of the Gissar Ridge.
